  1. SC Works Trident will be hosting a Back to Work Soft Skills and Job Search Training Program on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 9:00 a.m. Participants will receive a program overview on that date. The program will continue through Thursday, Dec. 15. Participation in the program is free of charge. Enrollment details are available at the link. (Holy City Sinner)
  2. The Charleston Animal Society has announced the winners of this year's Rescue Brew Beer. The spokescat is a 10-month-old Maine Coon from Kiawah Island named Beaux. The spokesdog is Wally, a seven-year-old West Highland terrier mix. The contest raised a total of $81,699 for the No Kill South Carolina initiative. (Live 5 News WCSC)
  3. The Black Food Truck Festival kicked off on Saturday at Ladson's Exchange Park Fairgrounds. The festival is meant to recognize and showcase local Black-owned businesses. The festival's organizers hope to grow the festival that first started in 2021. (Live 5 News WCSC)
