While work to improve and widen Bees Ferry Road is ongoing the speed limit along the entire length of the busy thoroughfare will be reduced to 35 mph
Charleston County is reminding drivers that the speed limit on Bees Ferry Road has been reduced to 35 mph for the duration of work to widen the road.
·        The reduced speed limit applies to the entire corridor of Bees Ferry Road, from the intersection of Savannah Highway (U.S. 17) to the intersection of Ashley River Road (S.C. 61).
·        Message boards alerting the public of the new change will remain in place until Friday, March 16. However, the reduced speed limit is in effect for the entire duration of the project, which is expected to be completed in April of 2014.
