Heavy traffic on Savannah Highway Friday attributed to Vice-president Joe Biden coming to Kiawah

Cars backed up along Savannah Highway southbound Friday from Bees Ferry Road to the Ashley River Bridge Friday afternoon even before rush hour started.
Local law enforcement officials said the arrival of Vice-President Joe Biden, who is spending the Easter weekend on Kiawah was to blame, according to the Post and Courier.
Sections of I26 and I526 were also backed up Friday after Biden landed at the Charleston Airforce Base around 3 p.m.
