Memory Hole
Coburg name being dropped in favor of Borden Dairy Co. of South Carolina, but the spinning cow on Savannah Hwy. gets to stay.

Wow, no more Coburg. Did not see that coming, I guess I just kind of assumed it would always be around, and yes I realize that sounds a bit foolish. Nothing is really permanent.
At least the cow will keep spinning, though it will be interesting to see if they keep the neon C and just replace the name Coburg with Borden. Maybe they'll add another section of lights to turn it into a circle.
That cow has been in perpetual motion as long as I can remember. Though I never witnessed it personally, I was always told it was a right of passage for Citadel cadets to ride the cow. The fact that there is a sign on it explicitly telling people not to try to climb on or ride the cow, and that at one point Coburg installed barbed wire around the spinning base, leads me to believe the stories had some validity.

I don't know, but the Borden cow just doesn't have the same ring to it as the Coburg cow, must be the alliteration.
Anyway, looks like the name Coburg is just one more thing down the memory hole.
