Brawl at Sonic Started with Thrown Drink

A soft drink thrown into a car at a West Ashley fast food restaurant touched off a eight-woman brawl last Friday, according to a Charleston Police Department report.

The fight began with one woman throwing a cup full of soda at another woman who was inside her car with two other women at the Sonic on Shelby Ray Court Friday night. When the women inside the car got out, the woman who threw the drink and four other women attacked them, according to the report.

The victims were able to identify the woman who threw the drink, but the police report did not specify whether anyone was charged in the incident.
