Charleston County Human Resources Director Wins National Recognition

International Public Management Association for Human Resources chooses Fagan Stackhouse, Charleston County HR Director for Warner Stockberger Achievement Award

The International Public Management Association for Human Resources picked Charleston County Human Resources Director Fagan Stackhouse for its 2011  Warner Stockberger Achievement Award, according to a Charleston County press release.

The award recognizes a professional in public or private life who has made outstanding contributions in the field of public sector HR management at the federal, state or local levels, according to the release.

With nearly 40 years in the human resources field, Stackhouse joined Charleston County in April 2010. Prior to that he spent 23 years the human resources director for Virginia Beach, Va. He has also been a guest lecturer and adjunct professor at George Washington University, Old Dominion University and others. Stackhouse has also been a trainer for IPMA-HR teaching courses around the world, including serving on the first training team that assisted in qualifying the first group of Chinese trainers after helping to negotiate IPMA-HR's first agreement to provide training and certification programs in China.
