CofC Taking Questions Now for School Board Forum
The Teaching Fellows Program at the College of Charleston is hosting a Charleston County School Board candidate's forum on Halloween and accepting questions for the candidates now

In a presidential election year a lot of people kind of forget about hyper-local races like school board.
But the College of Charleston is giving voters a chance to hear from those candidates themselves on Halloween at Physicians Auditorium. The College's Teaching Fellows Program is hosting the forum, and is accepting questions from the public.
The forum begins at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31. It is a family-friendly event and students in the Teaching Fellows Program will provide children's activities for kids ages 2-13 (those planning to attend with children are asked to register using the second page of the question submission form).

School Board candidates for seats representing West Ashley, North Charleston and Downtown have been invited to the forum.
In West Ashley five candidates are running for two open seats: John W. Barter, III; Henry Copeland; Michael Miller; Jim Ramich; and Brian P. Thomas. Also in West Ashley, Chris Fraser is the only candidate on the ballot for a special election to fill the remainder of the board term Mary Ann Taylor vacated.
