Here are the top three stories in Charleston today:

  1. Charleston County Schools are making some progress in addressing pandemic-related education struggles. According to new data released by the South Carolina Department of Education, Charleston County Schools' scores show significant growth compared to the 2020-2021 school year. The students are struggling to make gains in mathematics, however. (Live 5 News WCSC)
  2. The Charleston Police Department has arrested Evan Suk Ensley Haddix, 37, in connection to a Folly Road bank robbery. He was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center and appeared in court for a bond hearing on Wednesday afternoon. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the department. (ABC NEWS 4)
  3. Sea Life by Starlight is set to return on Saturday, Dec. 10. The Charleston Chamber will be transforming the Aquarium into a colorful night of imagination.
