A post on the Bostic Law Firm Facebook page on Dec. 22 announced Bostic was thinking about running for the seat. Bostic's son Daniel also tweeted about it Friday.

Bostic served eight years on Charleston County Council from 2001-2009, and was one fo the sponsors of the Charleston County Greenbelt Bank ordinance in 2004. He has also served on numerous boards and commissions in the Tri-county area.
