Deputies Make Arrest in Cellular Spot Armed Robbery
One of two suspects allegedly identified through fingerprints
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of one of two suspects accused of robbing the Cellular Spot on Ashley River Road last week, according to a statement from the agency.
Anthony Rogers Mitchell, Jr., is charged with armed robbery in the case. According to an incident report and an arrest affadavit, Mitchell was one of two men who used a handgun to rob the store around 4:15 p.m. on Sept. 17.
Officers were able to identify Mitchell through a fingerprint left on the glass counter next to the store's cash register, which he allegedly touched while removing cash and two cellular phones from the area, according to the affadavit.

Mitchell was arrested on Sept. 22 and appeared before a judge on Sept. 24 and was given a $100,000 surety bond.
Investigators are still trying to identify the other suspect in the case and ask anyone with information to call CCSO at 843-202-1700 or Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.
