Environmental Groups Petition Court over DHEC

The Southern Environmental Law Center representing the Savannah Riverkeeper, The Coastal Conservation League, The S.C. Wildlife Federation and The Conservation Voters of South Carolina filed a petition with the South Carolina Supreme Court Tuesday over the to Georgia.

The Petition argues that DHEC overstepped its bounds in granting the permit. The groups are asking the state's highest court to agree and declare the DHEC Board's action as unlawful, according to the Charleston Regional Business Journal.
