Ford Calls Haley's Anti-Union Stance Bigoted

S.C. Sen. Robert Ford reacts to Gov. Nikki Haley's comments on a federal court's recent approval of South Carolina's Voter ID law with an open letter.

I am Sick of All this Racism and Bigotry

— by Sen. Robert Ford

Governor Haley,

I just read your unsolicited comments on Voter Suppression and Slave Labor.  Your claim of victory on these Human Rights issues in 2012 undermines God given rights and freedom. You and any other South Carolina elected official who supports this kind of suppression and the right for working people to participate in a union is both suppressive and bias. To erode the basic right to vote as a citizen in the most democratic country in the history of mankind is ludicrous. When you and other officials in South Carolina support this type of exploitation,  accompanied by industries that give credence to your actions in these matters it goes beyond what we believe makes America different.

IS IT TRUE, that because of you and like thinking South Carolina officials who want to suppress workers, South Carolina lost a $22 Billion dollar military contract because the NLRB awarded the contract to the Boeing Plant in Everett, Washington instead of Carolina Boeing in Charleston?

Governor Haley,  Congressmen Graham, DeMint, Scott and others, why would you  turn wonderful progressive companies that come to South Carolina into a business that portray and practice the mentality of Racism and Bigotry.
