The mission of the Charleston Animal Society is to promote responsible guardianship of domestic animals and advocate the compassionate treatment of all animals. The 501(c)3 organization serves the Greater Charleston Area and never turns an animal away.
The Charleston Animal Society Adoption Center at 2455 Remount Road in North Charleston is open seven days a week (10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday - Saturday and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday). Pet owners can surrender their pet to the shelter between 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday - Friday. CAS also runs a Neuter/Spay clinic from 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Saturday.
