Girl Shot in Pierpont Avenue Home Invasion Dies

Allison Griffor received a gunshot to her head during an apparent attempted home invasion early Tuesday has died from her wounds

Allison Griffor, 5, died Thrusday after her family decided to take her off life support and donate her organs.

She was wounded in an early morning shooting on Tuesday, Oct. 25, when someone fired a shotgun through the front door of her family's Pierpont Avenue home. The bullet went through the door and a wall before striking her in the head.

The Post and Courier is reporting that the girl's family made the decision to take her off life support after doctors failed to find any sign of brain activity in scans Thursday.
