Goose Creek Man Indicted on Counterfeiting Charges

20-year-old could receive 20 years in prison.

The U.S. Attorney's Office announced Friday that a federal grand jury had returned three indictments, including a Goose Creek man charged with counterfeiting.

Aaron D. Green, 20, was charged in a two-count indictment of making and passing counterfeit currency. If convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Secret Service and the Goose Creek Police Department.

U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles also announced the indictment of two other suspects in unrelated cases.

Mario Tinoco, 32, and Mario Guadarrama, 49, both of Mexico, were each charged with illegal re-entry into the country by an aggravated felon. A conviction carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.
