Group Puts McCaffrey Case on Local Billboards
A group that specializes in missing persons has put Gayle McCaffrey's case on six local billboards
Gayle McCaffrey disappeared in March, and the Charleston County Sheriff's Office has been searching for here ever since.
Today the Community United Effort (CUE) Center posted McCaffrey's photo and phone numbers for the Sheriff's Office and CUE on half a dozen local billboards.
"We've been in touch with them since the outset," Charleston County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Mjr. James Brady said. "They are coming in today to review the searches we've done and see if there are any suggestions on more we can do."

No new searches are planned at this time, according to a statement issued by the Sheriff's Office, but the effort to keep the case in the public eye could bring new leads.
The CUE Center was founded in 1994 and has since helped more than 9,000 families with missing loved ones. The all volunteer, North Carolina based organization offers a wide range of free services including search and recovery, victim support, financial aid, safety and prevention workshops, food, shelter and food for search teams and families of the missing, full investigative case work of missing persons and more.

The Center has also created an information page on McCaffrey's case, and Brady said, has been working with the Sheriff's Office to find her since she was reported missing.
, who told officers he last saw her around 10 p.m. March 17, when he left home to travel to Easley. She has not been seen since. The initial missing person report on McCaffrey stated her keys and vehicle were left at the family home and that a note, allegedly from Gayle McCaffrey, was found in the home.
Investigators have since said that letter is a phony, and have. However, McCaffrey's body has not been found and no charged have been filed in the case.
