Have You Seen Me? Police Looking for Car Break-in Suspect

Charleston Police released a photo of a man suspected of stealing a debit card from a parked car last Saturday

An in-store video surveillance camera at an Ashley River Road gas station captured images of a man Charleston Police suspect stole a debit card from a car parked on Waters Edge Court on Saturday.

Investigators are asking the public for help identifying the man. Anyone with information about the suspect's identity can contact police at 577-7434.

Around 5 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 someone broke into the car on Waters Edge Court and stole a debit card that had been left inside. About an hour later someone used that debit card at the BP at 2572 Ashley River Road, according to a police incident report.

Video surveillance from the BP shows the man in the photo using the ATM inside the BP at approximately the same time the victim's debit card was used, the report stated.

The man in the photo left the BP after using the ATM and drove off in an older model green pickup truck.
