Here's When The Confederate Flag Will Finally Come Down

At the South Carolina State House, the flag will officially be gone.

The confederate flag will officially come down from South Carolina State House grounds at 10 a.m. ET on Friday, according to multiple reports out of South Carolina.

South Carolina governor Nikki Haley will sign a bill into law on Thursday at 4 p.m. that forces the flag’s removal. The flag will be moved to the Confederate Relic Room.

Wednesday night was an emotional one in the South Carolina House as lawmakers finally voted in the early hours of Thursday morning on the bill to officially remove the battle flag.

Debate raged for more than 13 hours before the House passed a clean version of the bill the Senate had passed a day before. The House was the last major hurdle for the bill, as Haley had previously spoken out against the flag.
