Home Burglarized Twice in Three Days

A home in Drayton on the Ashley was broken into twice in three days earlier this month

The owner of a Wofford Drive home in Drayton on the Ashley told the Charleston County Sheriff's Office she believes an ex-boyfriend is behind two recent burglaries there.

Both burglaries were committed during daylight hours while the homeonwer was away.

The first burglary happened Wednesday, Dec. 5 between 9:30 a.m. - 6:15 p.m. When the victim returned home that day several pieces of jewelry, worth approximately $11,500 was missing, but there were no signs of forced entry, according to one Sheriff's Office report.

Two days later on Friday, Dec. 7, someone broke in again between 8:30 a.m. -  5:45 p.m., according to another Sheriff's Office report. During the second burglary two glass jars filled with approximately $320 in cash and coins were stolen. Again investigators found no signs of forced entry, however the burglar left the back door open on that occasion.

The victim again told deputies she believes an ex-boyfriend to be resposible, the report stated.
