Republican Presidential candidate Jon Huntsman will stop in Charleston on Wednesday at the College of Charleston

CHARLESTON - Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman will make a campaign trip to South Carolina this week, stopping at the College of Charleston on Wednesday afternoon as part of the school's Bully Pulpit speaker series.

Huntsman will be the second candidate to address the college crowd this election cycle, on Monday Republican Presidential Candidate Buddy Roemer was on campus for a similar event. The Bully Pulpit series was created during the 2008 election and hosted several candidates including President Barack Obama and GOP-nominee John McCain.

"The communication department invited all the presidential candidates to speak and to talk about communication in general," said Mike Robertson, College of Charleston's senior director of media relations. "That was our hook to get them to talk about how they planned to communicate their message to voters."
