Here are the top three stories in Charleston today:

  1. The Medical University of South Carolina is hosting its Innovation Summit on Nov. 7. The event will be held virtually. It will be an open forum about inclusion and innovation. There will be breakout sessions during the event to further explore concepts. The event is free for MUSC students. (MUSC)
  2. The City of Charleston's Citizen Police Advisory Council is hosting a virtual training on police conflict de-escalation today. The webinar will provide techniques for effectively communicating and actively listening during crisis situations involving law enforcement. The training is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Click to register.   3. Gas prices continue to fall across South Carolina. This is the 14th consecutive week that gas prices have declined. The state's average gas price is currently $3.20 per gallon. The average price in Charleston is a little higher at $3.30 per gallon. (Count On 2)
