Hurricane Katia, now a Category 1 storm with winds of 90 mph, is continuing along it's projected path between the U.S. East Coast and Bermuda, according to forecasters at the National Hurricane Center.
The storm is expected to continue weakening now as it turns north, then northeast and heads into the northern Atlantic Ocean over the next few days.
The only effects of Katia expected to reach the U.S. continue to be high surf and possible rip currents.
