KKK Flyers Distributed in West Ashley
Flyers inside Ziploc bags promoting the "Traditionalist American Knights" have shown up in at least two West Ashley neighborhoods over the past week.

Last week residents in two neighborhoods on Ashley River Road reported finding flyers promoting a Ku Klux Klan group inside plastic Ziploc bags in their driveways or mailboxes, according to Charleston County Sheriff's Office and Charleston Police Department reports.
The flyers first appeared in the Pierpont area along Double Oak Drive and nearby streets on Thursday March 15, according to one Sheriff's Office report. The flyers were spotted in every driveway along that and other streets in the neighborhood the report states.
One person, described by the report as a concerned citizen, told deputies he had seen two men in a pickup truck in the neighborhood and that the passenger was throwing things out of the truck's window, but a detailed description of the truck was not available.

The next day Deputies were called to the same area about a second round of flyers left in driveways in the neighborhood, according to another report. That report specified that the flyers were promoting the "Traditionalist American Knights," and included a website and phone number.
The Charleston Police Department responded to a call about the flyers on Saturday, March 17 at a home on Jobee Drive, located in the Ashland Plantation subdivision.
