Ladson Man Charged in West Ashley Armed Robbery, Kidnapping

A Ladson man is accused of striking a female acquaintance, holding her hostage in her car and forcing her to remove money from an ATM

A Ladson man is facing several felony charges after he allegedly attacked an acquaintance, held her against her will and forced her to take $500 out of an ATM on Wednesday, Feb. 27, according to a Charleston Police Department statement.

Timothy Fred Glines Jr., 32, of Ladson is charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, armed robbery, kidnapping and assault and battery — 3rd degree.

The victim told police she gave Gline a ride around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, picking him up near Savannah Highway and Pebble Road. When Gline got in her car, she said he began punching her, and then forced her to drive to an ATM and take out $500. He then allegedly made the woman drive him to a fast food restaurant in James Island where he fled from the car. The victim said Gline also threatened to kill, according to the incident report.

Gline was arrested Thursday at a motel on Savannah Highway, according to a CPD statement. He is currently being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center in North Charleston.
