Lane Closures Scheduled for St. Andrews Blvd., Ashley River Road
Bicycle lane project will close a single lane of traffic nightly Oct. 2 - 8
Work crews will be closing one lane of St. Andrews Boulevard and Ashley River Road from 9 p.m. - 6 a.m. beginning Sunday, Oct. 2 to repair curbs and gutters and resurface the sidewalk and road to allow for the installation of a bicycle lane, according to a statement from Charleston County.
The project will be managed by Charleston County's RoadWise Program. Funding is coming from the Charleston County Transportation Sales Tax, the Charleston County Transportation Committee, a City of Charleston Enhancement grant and the S.C. Department of Transportation.
The lane closure, from Wesley Drive to Wappoo Drive, will continue through Saturday, Oct. 8. The road work is contingent on weather conducive to construction.
