Man Charged in Golf Club Attack
A West Ashley man was arrested Dec. 14 after allegedly attacking someone with a golf club

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office charged Harold Ancrum with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature on Friday, Dec. 14.
Ancrum is accused of attacking another man with a golf club during an argument at a home on Dillway Street around 7 p.m. on Dec. 14, according to an incident report.
Officers interviewed the victim at St. Francis Hospital, where family members had taken him following the attack. He suffered a large cut along the left side of his jaw during the assault.

Ancrum was arrested later that evening, the report stated. The victim and witnesses stated Ancrum had been drinking prior to the attack.
