  1. Brandon Brigman, 28, may be getting coal this year after he allegedly attempted to steal a golf cart while wearing a Santa suit. Officers responded to a parking garage on President Street at the Medical University of South Carolina complex around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning to reports of a man tampering with golf carts. Brigman was able to evade the officers but was eventually stopped and was described by officers as "grossly intoxicated." (WSAV-TV)
  2. Spirit Airlines is coming to Charleston International Airport beginning in April 2023. The airport and airline announced Wednesday that daily, nonstop flights to three destinations would now be available to Charleston travelers at the airport through Spirit airlines. The destinations include Fort Lauderdale, Newark, and Philadelphia. (WBTW)
  3. Dana Washington, 34 of Charleston, is facing charges after bringing a gun onto school property Tuesday evening. A spectator at a basketball game at Baptist Hill Middle/High School said they saw Washington drop the gun on the floor and then pick it up and put it in her backpack. Though Washington had a Concealed Weapon Permit, deputies explained that did not authorize her to have the gun on school grounds. (Live 5 News WCSC)
