More Nightly Lane Closures for Bees Ferry
Work crews will close sections of Bees Ferry Road this week as work continues to widen the road.

Crews working on the Bees Ferry Road widening project will be closing two sections of the road during nights this week, according to a Charleston County press release.
The lane closures come as workers need to relocate existing utilities along the road.
Lanes at the intersection of Bees Ferry and Hunt Club Lane and Main Road will be closed 8 p.m. - 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday.

The goal of the project, which is expected to be completed April 2014, is to make improvements to the entire 4.5 mile length of Bees Ferry Road from Savannah Highway (U.S. 17) to Ashley River Road (S.C. 61). The project was requested by the City of Charleston and was funded by the Charleston County Transportation Sales Tax Program. Partial funding for the project was approved by voters in the second Transportation Sales Tax bond referendum.
