- A Summerville man has died two weeks after being shot at a North Charleston motel. The incident occurred on Oct. 26 at the Relax Inn on Ashley Phosphate Road. Police identified the victim as 30-year-old Keyjuan Ford of Summerville, but officials have not yet made an arrest in the shooting. (ABC NEWS 4)
- Weather officials warn Charleston residents that the impacts of Tropical Storm Nicole will increase throughout the day today and into tomorrow. Breakers up to eight feet are expected in the region and could cause beach erosion up and down the coast through the weekend. Periods of heavy rain, extreme wind, and scattered power outages are possible. (WCBD News 2)
- The City of North Charleston Cultural Arts Department is seeking entries from African American textile artists. The works will be displayed as part of the 16th Annual African American Fiber Art Exhibition, a component of the 2023 North Charleston Arts Fest, which is scheduled for May 3-7 next year.
