Nightime Lane Closures Coming for Bees Ferry

As work continues to widen Bees Ferry Road Charleston County will be closing some lanes during evening hours Sunday through Tuesday.

The lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. to allow crews to relocate sewer lines. Flagmen will direct traffic around the closed areas during the closures.

Planned closures include:

• Left Lane of Bees Ferry Road heading from U.S. 17 toward S.C. 61 at Bear Swamp Road.
• Right Lane of Bees Ferry Road heading from U.S. 17 toward S.C. 61 at Main Road.
• Right Lane of Bees Ferry Road heading from U.S. 17 toward S.C. 61 at Bluewater Way.

The work on Bees Ferry is part of Charleston County's Roadwise Program, which is funded by the Transportation Sales Tax Program. Work is scheduled to be finished by April 2014.
