North Charleston Man Charged in West Ashley Pharmacy Robbery
U.S. Marshalls arrested a North Charleston man in connection with an Oct. 8 robbery of the Rite Aid on Ashley River Road

A tip from an area resident led a U.S. Marshals task force to the front door of a North Charleston man in connection with the Oct. 8 robbery of the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 1934 Ashley River Road.
Stanley James, 25, of 4760 Glenn Street, Apartment C, in North Charleston is charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, according to a Charleston Police Department statement. He was arrested Thursday and is being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
Police allege James is the man who robbed the pharmacy around 9 p.m. Oct. 8. Armed with a handgun the robber demanded various prescription medications including hydrocodone, Cialis and Viagra.
