One Arrested in Early Morning Armed Robbery
Charleston Police have charged a West Ashley man in connection with an armed robbery on Parkdale Drive, still seeking two others involved

CHARLESTON — Police charged David Michael Coleman, 24, of Lochaven Drive with armed robbery shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Coleman was allegedly the getaway driver for a pair of men — described as black males, between 5-feet 7-inches and 5-feet 9-inches tall, weighing between 185 and 200 pounds and wearing all black clothing — who are also being sought in the case.
Around 1 a.m. Tuesday a man was robbed at gunpoint outside an apartment on Parkdale Drive, where he had gone to visit a family member, according to a Charleston Police Department statement. The pair stole the man's cell phone and $200 cash, according to an incident report.

The men then jumped into a Honda Civic, allegedly driven by Coleman and fled. The robbery victim followed the Civic to Castlewood Townhomes where the two African Americans jumped out of the car, fired a shot at the victim's car and fled on foot.
The Civic continued traveling to the parking lot of with the victim still following. The victim was able to call for help once reaching the store and officers then arrested Coleman, according to the statement.
