One of Five Suspects Charged in Ashely Hall Road Home Invasion

A West Ashley teen has been charged with burglary and armed robbery in connection with a Thursday afternoon home invasion and robbery on Ashley Hall Road

Charleston Police say five men were responsible for a home invasion and robbery of a West Ashley man on Thursday.

Isaiah Terrell Wittrell, 18, of 1424 Orange Grove Road, has been charged with armed robbery and burglary — 1st degree in the case, according to a Charleston Police Department statement.

Around 4:15 p.m. Thursday four men invaded an apartment at 1724 Ashley Hall Road and robbed the resident of $250-$300, according to a CPD incident report. Investigators later determined a total of five men were involved in the robbery, according to a CPD statement accompanying the incident report.

The victim was sitting on his bed, watching TV when the men, at least one of whom was armed with a handgun, burst in and demanded money from him. The robbers took the money from the victim's wallet and fled on foot, according to the report.

The robbers are described as 18-25 years old, between 5-feet 7-inches and 6-feet tall, all with thin builds, and all wore dark pants and a hoodie. One of the men has a gold tooth.
