Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:
- The Federal Aviation Administration forecasted that Tuesday would be the busiest travel day of Thanksgiving week. About 48,000 flights were planned for Tuesday. The Charleston International Airport reports that parking is at a premium. Travelers are encouraged to arrive at least two hours before flights. Despite Tuesday's forecast, today (Nov. 23) and tomorrow will still see significant passenger volumes at Charleston International Airport. (WCBD News 2)
- The Charleston Police Department reports that a man and woman have been arrested for leaving their toddler alone in an apartment while they traveled to New York. Donald Gekonge, 24 years old, and Darlene Aldrich, 24 years old, were booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center on Monday afternoon. They face one count of unlawful conduct toward a child. (ABC NEWS 4)
- The North Charleston Police Department is searching for a missing 16-year-old girl. Ana Lopez Mejia was last seen by her family on Thursday. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department immediately. (Live 5 News WCSC)
