Police Arrest Two in Robbery Cases
Charleston Police have arrested two men allegedly connected to four armed robberies in the West Ashley area
Charleston Police announced the arrests of two West Ashley men charged in a string of robberies in the West Ashley area Thursday evening.
Rodney Scott Jr., 20, of Ashley River Road, is charged with armed robbery and two counts of strong armed robbery. Scott, who was arrested at Charleston Police headquarters at 180 Lockwood Blvd., is a suspect in the robberies that occurred Jan. 12 on Farmfield Avenue, Feb. 6 on Wappoo Road, and Feb. 20 on Thunder Trail, according to a police statement.
Manuel Scott, 20, of Boeing Avenue, is charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and three counts of strong armed robbery. Scott, who was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals in Goose Creek, is a suspect in the robberies that occurred Jan. 12 on Farmfield Avenue, Feb. 6 on Wappoo Road, Feb. 19 on Ashley Crossing Lane, and Feb. 20 on Thunder Trail. He is currently out on bond on a charge of grand larceny.

The men are cousins, according to police.

According to the statement about the arrests an officer spotted the Scotts in a gold Impala at the corner of Savange Road and Savannah Highway earlier in the evening.
