Police Arrest Two More in Castlewood Robbery
Charleston Police have charged two West Ashley residents in connection with a May 3 armed robbery in the Castlewood Townhouses, following the arrest of Demetrius Burks in Maryland for the same crime last week.
Two West Ashley residents are now facing charges in connection with a May 3 armed robbery of two women on North Castle Lane, according to Charleston police.
Levi Singleton, 24, of Hazelwood Drive and Alyssa Gibson, 25, of Ashley River Road, are charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony, according to the statement.
Last week Charleston Police Department announced Demetrius Burks, 20, of 1900 Hazelwood Drive, was served with warrants for two counts of armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime on Friday, Aug. 3. Burks had been arrested in Towson, Md., on July 24 by the U.S. Marshal's Task Force.

Police allege that Singleton and Gibson were involved in planning and carrying out the robberies, according to the statement.
The robbery occurred at 2:50 a.m. May 3, as two women were walking to an apartment on North Castle Lane.
