Police Make Arrest in Avondale Subway Robbery
Police have charged a North Charleston woman in connection with the June 28 attempted robbery of the Subway on Magnolia Road.

Police arrested Trainy Michelle Fishburne, 34, of Kelly Street, North Charleston, and charged her with attempted armed robbery, according to a Charleston Police Department statement.
Police allege that Fishburne was one of three people involved in the June 28 attempted robbery of the Subway restaurant at 13 Magnolia Road.
Around 7:45 that evening a light-skinned black man, about 5-feet 10-inches tall with a slim build, entered the restaurant ordered a cup of water and asked the manager several questions about how busy the restaurant was that evening and if anyone else was working. Shortly after he left someone called the restaurant three times but did not say anything when the manager answered. Then a second black man, about 5-feet 7-inches tall with a medium build and short twisted hair, wearing a silver bandanna over his face and armed with a handgun, entered the restaurant through a back door and demanded money, according to a police report on the attempted robbery. The Subway manager fled the restaurant and asked a passerby to call 911. Police allege that, after the would-be robber was unable to open the restaurant's cash register, he fled through the back door.
