- The Medical University of South Carolina reports that one of its care team members died at one of its Charleston hospital facilities on Friday. The announcement was made on Sunday morning; as of that time, the identity of the employee had not been identified by the coroner's office. The death is being investigated by the Charleston Police Department, MUSC Public Safety, and the Occupational Safety & Health Administration. (Live 5 News)
- The Charleston County Public Library has returned to normal operating hours. The only branch not returning to normal operations is West Ashley Library on Windermere Blvd, which is scheduled to reopen tomorrow. The system was previously closed in preparation for Hurricane Ian's impact. (Holy City Sinner)
- South Carolina Democratic Governor nominee Joe Cunningham is hosting a campaign rally in Charleston tomorrow. The rally will be held at Charleston Pour House at 5:30 p.m. The campaign reports that the event is open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to attend. Cunningham is running against incumbent Republican Henry McMaster. The election is on Nov. 8. (Count On 2)
