Readers' Choice: Best Staycation Spot
You don't have to go far to find world class tourist attractions in Charleston

Lots of people will save money this year by vacationing close to home, but in the Low Country you don't have to go far for world class tourist attractions.
Thousands of people come here each year to visit places some of us drive past each day, so there's plenty to choose from when you're looking for a great place to spend a day of staycation time with the family.
Whether you want to head out to one of nearby beaches or over to a water park to cool off, or if you'd rather explore one of the many plantations or historic properties scattered all over the Charleston area, you've got options. Maybe you want to get in 18 holes on a world class golf course, or tour Revolutionary War or Civil War battle fields, it's all just a short dirve away.
