Recent Burglary Victim Attacked on Friday
A man whose apartment was broken into last week was attacked by two men on Friday

Charleston Police returned to Friday to an apartment that had been burglarized a week prior after the man living there reported being attacked in the parking lot.
Police found the windows smashed with pieces of furniture piled in front of them at the man's apartment when they arrived. He told the officers that two men approached him in the parking lot and asked for a cigarette. After a few seconds, the victim said one of the men punched him in the face, and told the man his dead mother owed them money, the report stated.

The victim said the two men chased him to his apartment and broke out his windows while threatening to hurt him. He added that he pushed his couch in front of the window to keep the men from entering.
The assailants are described as black males, both approximately 5-feet 10-inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds.

However the report notes that none of the glass from the broken windows fell inside the apartment suggesting that the victim pushing the couch into the window probably caused it to break.
