- The Charleston County School District will be hosting a virtual hiring fair on Tuesday, Nov. 29. The fair will be held over Zoom from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The fair is seeking to fill educator positions in all areas of certification. Participants must register for the fair by 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29. Click for registration details. (ABC NEWS 4)
- A global container startup has chosen Charleston as its North American logistical hub. Eveon Containers Inc. made the announcement on Tuesday through a press release. According to the startup, Charleston was selected due to its status as a port city. The company's native Dutch name translates to "lowcountry.” (Charleston Regional Business)
- The City of Charleston's Community Development Committee met on Thursday with developers to discuss affordable housing for seniors. The development project would be built on Johns Island. There is a $2 million funding gap in the project. The project cannot start until the funding gap is filled. The total project is expected to cost around $22 million. (Live 5 News WCSC)
