Several Guns Stolen in Daytime Burglary
A burglar stole five guns and $700 worth of ammunition from a West Ashley home last Friday

The owner of a house of Edgewater Drive found his back door had been kicked in when he returned home shortly after noon on Friday Feb. 15.
Inside, a burglar had also broken into a locked office and taken three guns and $700 worth of ammunition. Two other guns had been removed from the victim's bedroom, according to a Charleston County Sheriff's Office report.
The break-in happened between 7 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., according to the report. The stolen weapons are listed as a black Thompson .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle, a black Novell pump-action 12-gauge shotgun, a single-shot 20-gauge shotgun, a black Mossberg pump-action 12-gauge shotgun and a black SKS-45 semi-automatic 7.62 caliber rifle.

The victim told deputies that several people had been inside the home in recent months while it was open for real estate showings, the report stated.
