Sheriff's Office Adding Traffic Checkpoints for New Years

Deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office will be out in force Monday night

It's always good to have a designated driver, especially on major holidays like New Years Eve.

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office will be intensifying traffic enforcement efforts Monday, setting up traffic checkpoints around the county. Checkpoints will begin appearing on Charleston County roadways as early as 6 p.m. tonight, according to a Sheriff's Office statement.

In addition to the traffic checks, the CCSO HEAT team will be out in force cracking down on aggressive driving as well.
