Sheriff's Office Files Charges in Shooting
Last week a deputy opened fire on the driver of a car that was allegedly trying to run him over during a traffic stop. On Monday, the driver was charged with attempted murder.
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office officially has charged Terrance Alexander Green, 21, of 1551 Highway 7, Apt. 254, with attempted murder at MUSC.

On that date, James attemped to stop Green for a traffic violation on Ashley River Road around 2 p.m., according to statements from Sheriff Al Canon, Green pulled into the parking lot of Performance Chiropractic. Instead of stopping, he turned the car around and attempted to run over the deputy, who had already gotten out of his own car.

. Officers found Green's car about 45 minutes later on Juniper Street in the Ardmoore neighborhood. Deputies used a search dog to track down Green who was found about 50 yards away behind a nearby apartment complex with multiple gunshot wounds.
Green was also cited for reckless driving and driving under suspension, according to a Sheriff's Office statement. He is being held at MUSC on a $100,000 surety bond.
