Sheriff's Office Releases Photo of Dollar General Robbery Suspect

This photo from surveillance cameras inside the store allegedly shows the suspect whom deputies believe robbed the store on Nov. 18

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday released this photo taken by surveillance cameras of the man suspected of robbing the store shortly after 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18.

During the robbery, the suspect, who was wearing a ski mask, green or gray hoodie and a green or gray jacket, used a black revolver and demanded money from a clerk. He left with approximately $300 cash according to the Sheriff's Office report.

Deputies said there is no connection between the Dollar General robbery, which happened on Ashely River Road, and another robbery on James Island later that same evening by another suspect wearing similar clothing. According to a Sheriff's Office statement, the physical descriptions of the two suspects do not match, other than the fact that both wore a green or gray hoodie.
