1. The Charleston Police Department reports that charges have been upgraded for Tyreece Smith, 32 years old. Smith was initially charged as an accessory to a murder that occurred on Monday, Oct. 24 on Allway Street. His charges have been upgraded to murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. (ABC NEWS 4)
2. Disney’s Aladdin will be performing in North Charleston early next year. The national tour will be making a stop at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center on Feb. 26. Thomas Schumacher is directing the performance. Click for ticket information. (WCBD News 2)
3. The Charleston Literary Festival will kick off on Friday. The 10-day festival will offer engaging talks, book discussions, intimate learning experiences, and more.
