Suspicious Food Order Leads to Five Arrests

A phone call to China Fun Restaurant led police to the suspects.

Charleston Police say a suspicious delivery order led to the arrests of five West Ashley men this week.

On Wednesday an employee at China Fun Restaurant in Ashley Town Center recognized that a delivery order was exactly the same as the order one of its drivers was delivering when he was robbed at gunpoint on Sept. 12, and reported it to the police.

The driver was robbed making the delivery to an address on Cashew Street. The suspicious order on Wednesday was to a nearby address on Balsam Street.
