Teen Charged in Burglary

Charleston Police have filed a burglary charge against a West Ashley teen in connection with a May 21 burglary on Bent Hickory Road, according to a statement issued by police.

Abraham E. Jenkins, 17, of Wedgefield Road, Charleston, faces one count of burglary — 2nd degree, according to the statement. During the alleged burglary cash and electronics were stolen from the Bent Hickory Road home.

The charges were filed while Jenkins was in custody at the Al Cannon Detention Center in North Charleston on unrelated charges, according to the statement.
