Teens Charged in String of Car Break-ins
Two West Ashley teens are facing multiple charges after six vehicles were broken into early Monday morning on Hunters Forest Drive.
It didn't take Charleston Police long to find and charge two West Ashley teens in a string of car break-ins early Monday morning, according to a Police statement.
Officers responded to a home on Hunters Forest Drive around 2:20 a.m. Monday when the resident reported someone trying to break into his car. The suspects fled before police arrived, but were located a short time later, as officers began canvassing the area.
William Justus Porter, 18, of 2058 Savannah Highway, is charged with six counts of breaking into a motor vehicle.

James Tyler Thomas, 17, of 1332 Memory Lane, is charged with five counts of breaking into a motor vehicle.
Police located the two suspects near the intersection of Bees Ferry Road and Hunters Forest Drive, according to the statement.
