Three Plead Guilty in Auto Loan Scheme

A Mount Pleasant man and a Hanahan woman among three entering pleas

Three S.C. residents, including two from the Lowcountry, pled guilty today in an auto loan scheme, according to U.S. Attorney William Nettles.

William Brian Toadvine, 34, of Mount Pleasant pled guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud in a scheme involving more than $800,000, according to a press release.

Hanahan resident Joyce Pozniko, 58, and Greenville resident Daniel Kosmer Jr., 25, also pled guilty to providing false information in a loan application in the case.

All three face up to 30 years in prison.

The trio was accused of obtaining loans from 16 different banks and credit unions by providing false documentation.
